The story of death and the journey towards it, an odyssey through Hell and back, accepting your mortality and the loss of loved ones; these are the stories that the alternative rockband Lumina bring to life with their music. In 2024, Lumina came together for the first time with members spread throughout the Netherlands. Since then – after having driven countless miles – they’ve played and told their story in every corner of their home country.
In May 2024, they recorded some demos which got them their first gig on Kreekrock that August. These demos would later be mixed and masterd by the band themselves and were released in January 2025 as songs on their first ‘DIY’-EP, ‘Till Death Do Us Part’. The same day as this release they played these songs during their performance in ‘De Drie Gezusters’ during ESNS 2025.
From January until June they played live multiple times per month in venues such as CAPSLOC, De Muziekgieterij, Klomppop and the Popcentrale. In April they also won the bandcompetition ‘Podium-Z’.
